Traditional Cruz de Malta yerba is made from leaves and stems (con palo), offering an authentic mate experience.

Today, the Cruz de Malta brand is owned by Molinos, also known for producing Nobleza Gaucha, another well-known yerba mate brand.

In 2018, Molinos revised the Cruz de Malta formulation: the leaf cut was enlarged, and the proportion of ground leaves (powder) was reduced. These changes created an even smoother yerba, which retains its flavor longer, offering a prolonged and pleasant infusion.
